When we exit the subway you can’t believe what you see! The flower clad Vertical Garden, an amazing building designed by Stefano Boeri, where the inhabitants grow trees almost in their lounge and enjoy a spectacular view on the botanic garden and the imposing Unicredit Tower. The nearby Piazza Gae Aulenti is one more example of how technology can be integrated with nature: a huge water pool where kids and dogs can’t help jumping in, surrounded shiny skyscrapers housing business offices and, alongside, lovely cafes, gelato shops and designer outlets.
After a little coffee break in Corso Como, we are ready for jumping on the time machine and get off at the Canal District where time seems to stop.
The traffic free area, alongside the waterways, dotted with cafes, restaurants, boutiques is the ideal place for an “aperitivo”. It is good idea experiencing a short boat trip (50 min) for enjoying and relaxing before a good dinner with Milanese cuisine.
